I might be a bit controversial here, but I don't think Restriction around alcohol is a bad thing.

We restrict ourselves from doing all sorts of things, right? I restrict myself from yelling at my kids constantly and eating all the junk food.

And I want to restrict myself from these things.

The act of restricting usually comes from feeling bad about ourselves so we do extreme diets, cleanses, and programs.

The feeling of restriction comes from how we think about a program or how we are cutting back.

This episode dives into the fuel of how we take action and I suggest you rephrase what restriction means for you, if you want to be successful in cutting back on how much you are drinking.
