For years, I've dreamed of creating a retreat center -- a space where women could rest, reconnect, and rediscover who they truly are, without alcohol or other distractions that prevent them from truly connecting with the magic they have inside.
That dream is now a reality in Lisbon, Portugal.
We all have our cracks and crevices, the stories, pasts, and moments that might not look perfect on the outside.
But it’s what’s on the inside that holds the real beauty, the part of us that’s alive, resilient, and ready to shine when we finally believe in what’s possible.
That’s what The Magic House represents.
It’s a reminder that transformation doesn’t come from starting over, it comes from seeing the beauty in what already exists and allowing it to evolve.

The Magic House is a renovated, elevated bohemian sanctuary inside a 100-year-old building in one of Lisbon’s most charming corners, a space that holds both history and possibility.
It’s proof that magic isn’t found in perfection, but in the courage to renew, restore, and reimagine what’s been there all along.
With tastefully appointed, themed rooms (inspired by my favorite things; think sunrises, forests, beaches, and of course magic), luxurious beds and linens, and the ultimate sense of comfort, you’ll want for nothing.
After hosting multiple retreats and renting spaces in various locations throughout the US, Europe and Mexico, I’ve learned exactly what works and what doesn’t.
Now, I have created a new magical experience: customizable, nurturing, and inclusive for every woman’s needs.

Why I Created The Magic House
Eight years ago, when I stopped drinking, I had no idea what was going to happen — but I was excited to find out!
That decision, mixed with learning how to tap into what was good for me and what wasn’t, allowing myself to take risks based on what I knew about myself and learning to trust that no matter what, I would be proud of myself for going after my dreams instead of just thinking about it— I created the space for everything that’s happened since:

Now, I’ve taken another leap, and built a permanent home for that work.
The Magic House is the first retreat center of its kind, a place where women can gather, rest, and reconnect to their inner knowing, surrounded by beauty, comfort, and magic, all within a protected, alcohol-free environment designed for deep clarity and connection.

What I’m taking back into my real life are so many of the simple but powerful practices like checking in with my body and questioning what my mind is pushing me to do. I’m also more willing to sit with a little discomfort if it supports what I actually want long-term, and to slow down and really be in my senses. Angela was the reason I signed up. Full stop. Six years ago I blind-hired her to help me stop overeating and overdrinking, and what she delivered changed my life. That level of trust doesn't come easily or often. When she offered me a spot in her founding circle, I didn't need details, my answer was an immediate yes. And the curation... Absolutely everything, the activities, the food, the group sessions, the daily theme texts, had been so thoughtfully and intentionally designed. Nothing felt random or filler. From the watercolor painting lesson with a local artist, to the guided hike to a convent where Franciscan monks lived for 300 years, to the musicians playing what I can only describe as live meditation music in the house, every single experience had a purpose and a place. It never felt like too much, and it never felt like too little. That kind of craft is rare.
On the hike through the forest I wasn't thinking about pace or steps logged. I was just there, in it, feeling it. I noticed I could sit with a feeling instead of moving past it. And somewhere along the way, without even making a conscious decision about it, I put my phone down. I didn't open TikTok once the entire week. All the quiet moments I would normally fill with endless scrolling, I just let them be quiet. By the end of the week I felt softer, calmer, and more connected to myself than I had in a long time.
